Stormwater Drainage Paddington

TRG Plumbing’s fully licensed plumbers provide professional stormwater drainage installation, repairs, and maintenance across Paddington, a charming inner-west Brisbane suburb just 2 km from the CBD. Known for its steep hills, heritage Queenslanders, renovated cottages, and leafy streets, Paddington’s properties face unique stormwater management challenges, from heavy rain run-off on sloped blocks to leaf and debris build-up in gutters and downpipes.

Our Paddington Stormwater Drainage Services Include:

New stormwater system design and installation:
Tailored to block slope, size, and property type.
Stormwater drain repairs:
Fixing cracks, collapses, and damaged joints.
Blocked stormwater drain clearing:
Removing debris, silt, and root intrusion.
CCTV stormwater inspections:
Locating faults without excavation.
Downpipe and gutter connections:
Ensuring proper water flow into stormwater systems.
Preventative maintenance programs:
Avoiding future blockages and overflow issues.

With Brisbane’s intense summer storms, poorly maintained or undersized drainage systems can quickly lead to flooding, erosion, and structural damage. Our stormwater drainage solutions are designed to protect properties year-round while meeting Brisbane City Council requirements.

We contacted TRG the night prior and received immediate contact. Their team was on-site within 36 hours and completed a very tricky job of installing a new Water heater in a tight loft space to replace one that was leaking and causing damage. They perform their duties with great professionalism and quality work, on time and to the exact quote they stated. I would use them again and encourage anyone else to use them also. Ian

Stormwater Drainage Paddington FAQ

We design, install, and maintain stormwater drainage systems in Paddington, protecting homes, apartments, and commercial properties from flooding, erosion, and water damage, especially given the suburb’s hilly terrain and heavy rainfall.

Why is stormwater drainage important in Paddington?

Paddington’s steep streets and older housing mean heavy rain can cause runoff, pooling, and structural damage without proper drainage systems in place.

How can I tell if I have a stormwater drainage problem?

Signs include pooling water, overflowing gutters, damp walls, mould, or water entering your property during storms.

Do I need council approval for stormwater drainage work?

Yes. Any changes to your property’s drainage must comply with Brisbane City Council requirements and may require permits.

Can you install new stormwater systems?

Yes. We design and install complete drainage systems, including pits, pipes, and council stormwater connections.

Do you repair blocked or damaged stormwater pipes?

Yes. Using CCTV inspections, we identify and clear blockages or replace damaged sections of pipe to restore flow.

What causes stormwater issues in Paddington?

Leaf litter, tree roots, undersized or aging pipes, poor surface grading, and debris from construction are common causes.

Can stormwater be reused?

Yes. We can integrate rainwater harvesting systems to store and reuse runoff for gardens, toilets, and other non-potable uses.

How often should stormwater systems be maintained?

We recommend yearly maintenance, plus pre- and post-storm season checks, to keep gutters, pits, and drains clear and functional.

Do you service both residential and commercial properties?

Yes. We work on drainage systems for houses, apartments, retail spaces, hospitality venues, and offices in Paddington.

Can you upgrade existing drainage systems?

Yes. We can increase capacity, add additional pits, or improve grading to better handle heavy rain and prevent flooding.

What materials do you use for stormwater pipes?

We typically use PVC for residential work and reinforced concrete for commercial or heavy-duty applications.

How quickly can you respond to urgent stormwater issues?

We offer fast local response times, with same-day service available for flooding or high-risk situations.
