We contacted TRG the night prior and received immediate contact. Their team was on-site within 36 hours and completed a very tricky job of installing a new Water heater in a tight loft space to replace one that was leaking and causing damage. They perform their duties with great professionalism and quality work, on time and to the exact quote they stated. I would use them again and encourage anyone else to use them also. Ian

Ready to secure your property against storms and flooding?

Stormwater System Repairs & Replacements

Crushed, broken, or undersized stormwater systems can’t handle Brisbane’s intense downpours. We repair or replace damaged pipework, ensuring your system is sized correctly to cope with heavy rain. Many older or DIY systems use 90 mm pipe instead of the recommended 100 mm, or have only one drain point on the property. Upgrading to the correct pipe size and adding additional drainage lines can dramatically improve flow and reduce the risk of flooding.

Stormwater Pit, Pump & Pipework Upgrades

If your property is prone to flooding, upgrading your stormwater setup can make a huge difference. We install high-capacity stormwater pits, quiet yet powerful pumps, and upsized pipework to move large volumes of water away quickly — even in the middle of the night without you noticing. Additional drainage lines to the kerb outlet can further relieve pressure during severe weather.

French, Strip & Channel Drain Installations

As a final defence against flooding, we install surface drainage solutions like strip drains, channel drains, and French (agi) drains. These systems capture and redirect surface water before it can pool or enter your home. They are a highly effective and popular option, especially in problem areas where other drainage measures alone aren’t enough.

Stormwater Drainage FAQ

We design, install, and maintain stormwater drainage systems to protect your property from flooding, erosion, and water damage, keeping your home or business safe during heavy rain.

What is stormwater drainage?

A system of gutters, downpipes, pits, and underground pipes that channels rainwater away from your property into the council stormwater network.

Why is proper stormwater drainage important?

It prevents flooding, soil erosion, water damage to foundations, and mould growth inside buildings.

How do I know if I have a stormwater drainage problem?

Pooling water, overflowing gutters, damp walls, eroded garden areas, or water entering your home during rain are key warning signs.

Do I need council approval for stormwater works?

Yes, in most cases. Any changes to how your property drains water must comply with local council regulations.

Can you install new stormwater systems?

Yes. We design and install complete systems, including pits, drains, and connections to the street network.

Do you repair blocked or damaged stormwater pipes?

Yes. We use CCTV inspection to locate blockages or breaks, then clear or replace the affected section.

What materials are used for stormwater pipes?

Common options include PVC for residential and reinforced concrete for commercial or high-load areas.

Can stormwater be reused?

Yes. We can install rainwater harvesting systems to store runoff for garden irrigation, toilet flushing, or other non-potable uses.

How often should I maintain my stormwater system?

At least annually, or before and after heavy storm seasons, to clear debris and check for damage.

Do you work on commercial stormwater systems?

Yes. We handle large-scale drainage projects for commercial, industrial, and strata properties.

What’s the difference between stormwater and sewer?

Stormwater carries rainwater to the environment or council drains; sewer pipes carry wastewater to treatment plants.

Can you improve existing drainage?

Yes. We upgrade undersized pipes, add additional pits, and regrade surfaces to improve water flow and prevent flooding.
