New Build Plumbing Hendra

TRG Plumbing's licensed and insured plumbers deliver complete new build plumbing across Hendra, a leafy inner-north suburb around 7 km north-east of the Brisbane CBD known for its traditional Queenslander homes and high-end contemporary rebuilds. With Hendra's flat, low-lying terrain sitting at roughly 11 metres elevation and drained by the artificial Schulz Canal off Kedron Brook, proper stormwater and sewer design is critical — particularly given the area's 2011 and 2022 flood history. We work from architects' plans on knock-down-rebuilds, navigate any heritage and character overlays on Hendra's older streets, and coordinate council approvals so your new home's plumbing is installed correctly, certified and built to last on tree-lined blocks under mature jacarandas and poincianas.

Our Hendra New Build Plumbing Services Include:

Plumbing design and system planning:
We map out water, waste and gas layouts from your Hendra build plans before a single pipe is laid.
Water, waste and gas rough-ins:
Precise in-slab and in-wall rough-ins timed to your Hendra builder's framing and concrete stages.
Fixture and appliance installation:
Taps, basins, toilets, showers and appliances fitted to suit the high-end finishes common in Hendra rebuilds.
Stormwater and sewer connections:
Reliable connections engineered for Hendra's flat, low-lying ground and the Schulz Canal drainage corridor.
Backflow prevention systems:
Compliant backflow devices installed and registered to protect Hendra's potable water supply.
Final testing, commissioning and certification:
Full pressure testing and compliance certification so your Hendra home is ready for occupation.

We contacted TRG the night prior and received immediate contact. Their team was on-site within 36 hours and completed a very tricky job of installing a new Water heater in a tight loft space to replace one that was leaking and causing damage. They perform their duties with great professionalism and quality work, on time and to the exact quote they stated. I would use them again and encourage anyone else to use them also. Ian

Planning a knock-down-rebuild or new home in Hendra and need licensed plumbers to handle the full plumbing fit-out?

Knock-Down-Rebuild Plumbing in Hendra

Hendra's post-war homes are steadily being demolished and replaced with contemporary high-end new builds and large renovations. On these knock-down-rebuilds we disconnect and cap existing services safely, then plan the new plumbing around your fresh footprint. We coordinate with your builder across slab, frame and fit-out stages, ensuring water, waste and gas runs suit modern open-plan layouts while connecting cleanly to Hendra's established mains and sewer infrastructure.

Stormwater Design for Hendra's Low-Lying Blocks

With an average elevation near 11 metres and drainage running to the Schulz Canal and Kedron Brook, Hendra blocks need carefully engineered stormwater. The suburb featured in Brisbane's 2011 and 2022 floods, so we design downpipe, drainage and discharge systems that move water away from your new home efficiently. Mature jacaranda and poinciana trees also mean leaf litter, so we plan for adequate pit and pipe capacity.

Heritage and Character Overlays in Hendra

Many of Hendra's wide, tree-lined streets feature traditional-character Queenslanders, and some properties fall under heritage or character overlays. When new build or rebuild work touches these zones, we tailor plumbing layouts to respect protected elements and the council conditions attached to your approval. We liaise with your designer and certifier so connections, vents and external pipework meet both plumbing standards and any overlay requirements.

New Build Plumbing Hendra FAQ

Common questions about new build and knock-down-rebuild plumbing across Hendra, from heritage overlays to energy-efficient systems and council approvals.

Can you work on homes within Hendra's heritage or character overlays?

Yes. Several of Hendra's older Queenslander streets fall under heritage or character overlays, and we tailor plumbing layouts and external pipework to respect protected features while meeting the conditions attached to your council approval.

Do you plumb directly from our building plans?

Absolutely. We work from your architect's or builder's plans for Hendra new builds, setting out water, waste, gas and stormwater runs to match your design and coordinating each rough-in with the construction schedule.

Do you handle council approvals for plumbing in Hendra?

We manage the plumbing compliance side — lodgements, inspections and certification with Brisbane City Council — and coordinate with your builder and certifier so your Hendra project stays on track and fully approved.

How do you design plumbing layouts for a Hendra new build?

We plan layouts around your floor plan, fixture locations and Hendra's flat, low-lying terrain, ensuring efficient pipe runs, correct falls for drainage, and stormwater that discharges properly toward the Schulz Canal corridor.

What plumbing materials do you use in new builds?

We use quality, Australian-standard materials — typically PEX or copper for water, uPVC for waste and stormwater, and certified gas piping — selected to suit the high-end finishes found in many Hendra rebuilds.

Can you install energy-efficient plumbing systems?

Yes. We install energy-efficient options like heat-pump or solar hot water, water-saving fixtures and rainwater reuse systems, helping your new Hendra home reduce running costs and water consumption from day one.
