Roofing & Guttering Kedron

TRG Plumbing's licensed and insured plumbers deliver dependable roofing and guttering across Kedron (4031), the leafy inner-northern suburb about 11 km from the Brisbane CBD and named after Kedron Brook. With Kedron's classic mix of interwar and early post-war housing—roughly 59% free-standing homes, including character Queenslanders concentrated in "the Avenues" east of Leckie Road—weathered guttering, lead-headed nails and ageing timber-and-tin roofs are common. Add Brisbane's subtropical summer storms bringing intense downpours, hail and wind, plus mature trees shedding leaves into gutters, and roofs here take a beating. We repair, replace and maintain roofs and stormwater systems to keep your home watertight all year round.

Our Kedron Roofing & Guttering Services Include:

Roof leak detection and repairs:
We trace and seal leaks on Kedron's ageing terracotta and tin roofs before water damages original timber framing and ceilings.
Gutter and downpipe replacement:
We replace rusted, sagging gutters and downpipes common on Kedron's interwar and post-war homes with profiles that suit the character streetscape.
Stormwater connection and repairs:
We upgrade stormwater drainage for low-lying streets near the Kedron Brook floodplain, where heavy rain quickly overwhelms older systems.
Roof flashing installation and repairs:
We install and reseal flashings around valleys, chimneys and box gutters to stop leaks on Kedron's steep Queenslander rooflines.
Scheduled roof and gutter maintenance:
Regular clean-outs and inspections keep leaf-clogged gutters clear on Kedron's tree-lined Avenues ahead of storm season.

We contacted TRG the night prior and received immediate contact. Their team was on-site within 36 hours and completed a very tricky job of installing a new Water heater in a tight loft space to replace one that was leaking and causing damage. They perform their duties with great professionalism and quality work, on time and to the exact quote they stated. I would use them again and encourage anyone else to use them also. Ian

NO MORE PROBLEMS

CALL US ANYTIME, DAY OR NIGHT

Are weathered gutters or an ageing roof on your Kedron Queenslander leaking after the latest subtropical storm?

Caring for Heritage and Queenslander Roofs in Kedron

Kedron's most distinctive homes are character Queenslanders, especially in the leafy Avenues east of Leckie Road with its 1920s heritage buildings. These timber-and-tin houses often retain original roofing, lead-headed nails and steep pitches that demand a careful, experienced hand. We repair and restore older roofs sympathetically, preserving the look that gives the suburb its charm while bringing the waterproofing and gutter performance up to a modern, reliable standard.

Storm-Ready Guttering for Kedron's Tree-Lined Streets

Kedron's green corridors near Kedron Brook, Kalinga Park and the bikeway mean plenty of mature trees—and plenty of leaf litter in gutters. Combined with Brisbane's intense subtropical downpours, hail and wind, clogged gutters quickly overflow and back water under the roofline. We fit quality gutter guard, clear blockages and replace undersized guttering so summer storms drain away cleanly instead of pooling against your fascia and walls.

Stormwater and Flood-Aware Drainage in Kedron

Properties close to Kedron Brook sit on a mapped floodplain, dramatically demonstrated by the record 2022 event when the brook reached 893 mm. Low-lying streets near the creek need stormwater systems that can cope with sudden, heavy volumes. We connect and repair downpipes, stormwater lines and overflow points so roof water is carried clear of your foundations, helping protect your Kedron home during the worst of the wet season.

Roofing & Guttering Kedron FAQ

Kedron's blend of heritage Queenslanders, ageing post-war roofs and flood-prone streets near Kedron Brook raises plenty of questions. Here are answers to the ones we hear most from Kedron homeowners.

Do you work on heritage and older roofs in Kedron?

Yes. Many Kedron homes are interwar and post-war Queenslanders, particularly in the Avenues, and we repair them sympathetically—working around original timber, lead-headed nails and steep pitches while restoring proper waterproofing.

Can you match my existing gutter and roof profile?

We can. Kedron's character streetscapes look best when repairs blend in, so we match existing gutter profiles, colours and roof materials wherever possible to keep your home's appearance consistent with the neighbourhood.

Are you able to handle steep or box-gutter roofs?

Yes. Many Kedron Queenslanders have steep pitches and box gutters that need careful handling. Our licensed team works safely on these rooflines, installing flashings and resealing box gutters to stop hidden leaks.

Do you recommend gutter guard for Kedron's leafy streets?

Often, yes. With mature trees lining the Avenues and corridors near Kedron Brook, leaf litter is a constant problem. Quality gutter guard reduces blockages, overflow and the need for frequent clean-outs during storm season.

How quickly can you repair storm damage in Kedron?

We prioritise storm-damage call-outs. After Brisbane's intense summer downpours, hail and wind, we respond promptly to leaks, dislodged tiles and overflowing gutters to make your Kedron roof watertight and prevent further damage.

What roof materials do you recommend for Kedron homes?

It depends on the home—terracotta and Colorbond tin both suit Kedron's mix of heritage and modern houses. We'll recommend a material that respects your home's character and stands up to local storms, then guide you on the best fit.
