Roofing & Guttering Nundah

TRG Plumbing's licensed and insured plumbers deliver dependable roofing and guttering across Nundah, an inner suburb roughly 8.9 km NNE of the Brisbane CBD. With housing dominated by traditional timber Queenslanders, late-nineteenth-century workers' cottages and occasional interwar masonry homes, many local roofs and gutters need careful, profile-matched care. Nundah sits on a large ridge in Brisbane's humid subtropical climate, where summer thunderstorms often bring hail and strong wind gusts. With Kedron Brook and the Schulz Canal nearby and flash flooding a known risk around low-lying Toombul, well-functioning gutters, downpipes and stormwater are essential. Whether you own a heritage cottage off Bage Street or a newer townhouse near Sandgate Road, we keep your roof watertight.

Our Nundah Roofing & Guttering Services Include:

Roof leak detection and repairs:
We trace and fix leaks on Nundah's older terracotta and tin roofs before summer storms cause interior damage.
Gutter and downpipe replacement:
We replace tired gutters and downpipes on local Queenslanders so heavy Kedron Brook catchment rainfall drains away cleanly.
Stormwater connection and repairs:
Proper stormwater connections matter near the Schulz Canal and low-lying Toombul, where flash flooding is a real seasonal risk.
Roof flashing installation and repairs:
We seal flashings around chimneys, valleys and walls on Nundah's interwar and masonry homes to stop wind-driven rain entry.
Scheduled roof and gutter maintenance:
Regular maintenance keeps leaf-clogged gutters clear on Nundah's tree-lined streets ahead of each storm season.

We contacted TRG the night prior and received immediate contact. Their team was on-site within 36 hours and completed a very tricky job of installing a new Water heater in a tight loft space to replace one that was leaking and causing damage. They perform their duties with great professionalism and quality work, on time and to the exact quote they stated. I would use them again and encourage anyone else to use them also. Ian

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had no idea how big the problem was with our drainage. TRG Plumbing were amazing - they offered alternate solutions looking for the least invasive and most cost efficient way to fix the issues.
Josh from TRG was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble - he took the time to explain everything and really cared about our job and the outcome.
Tom and his team go over and above.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We were really impressed with the service and experience we had with TRG. They installed a new hot water heater for us and fixed the drainage of our downpipes to connect to the stormwater at the street. They took care to really understand exactly what we were after with the work and made sure it was as neat and tidy as possible. They worked quickly and efficiently and their price was way more competitive than some of the other quotes we got. Tyrone, who mainly worked on the project, was really easy to deal with and we were very happy with the outcome. Would recommend.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t rate these guys highly enough. Had a plumbing issue for 3years, had 3 different plumbers come out and given wildly different fixes with a huge variant in cost, ranging from 2k to 10k+ & ripping off walls to saying it can’t be done. Tom was immediately confident they could fix it and the team (shoutout Josh & Anthony!) who thought outside the box, found the water cut off for the unit which the other 3 failed to do & fixed the problem promptly without knocking down any walls while keeping price in a very reasonable range. Also organised a plasterer & tiler to work concurrently with them & get the job done super fast. Brilliant all round, would recommend to anyone getting the run around. Never felt talked down to or patronised in any way & they showed up on time! Great communication and fully informed before any tasks started, with price point of differences given for each step. Just top blokes. I won’t use anyone else now. Huge thank you TRG!!

CALL US ANYTIME, DAY OR NIGHT

Are storm-season downpours, leafy gutters or an ageing Queenslander roof putting your Nundah home at risk this summer?

Caring for Heritage and Queenslander Roofs in Nundah

Much of Nundah's housing is traditional timber Queenslanders and late-nineteenth-century workers' cottages, with some interwar masonry homes such as Spanish Mission examples. These older roofs need a sensitive approach, whether in terracotta tile or corrugated tin. Our licensed plumbers repair leaks, rusted sheets and worn flashings while respecting original character, so homes near landmarks like the heritage-listed Nundah State School on Bage Street stay watertight and authentic for years to come.

Box Gutters and Steep Roofs Across Nundah

Nundah sits on a large ridge running northwest to southeast, and many homes feature steep pitches or box gutters that demand experienced handling. Box gutters carry heavy water volumes and can overflow internally if undersized or blocked, especially during intense summer downpours. We assess capacity, fit correct overflow provisions and use proper safety measures on steep roofs, protecting both your home and our team during repairs and replacements.

Gutter Guard and Storm Protection in Nundah

Nundah's leafy, tree-lined streets drop constant debris into gutters, and with thunderstorms often bringing hail and strong gusts, blocked gutters quickly cause overflows and leaks. We install quality gutter guard to reduce cleaning and keep water flowing through downpipes and stormwater systems. Given the Kedron Brook catchment's flooding history through the suburb, reliable drainage off your roof is a smart, practical defence.

Roofing & Guttering Nundah FAQ

Common questions from Nundah homeowners about caring for heritage roofs, leafy gutters and storm-prone properties near Kedron Brook and the Schulz Canal.

Do you work on heritage and older Nundah roofs?

Yes. We regularly work on Nundah's traditional Queenslanders, workers' cottages and interwar masonry homes, repairing terracotta tile and tin roofs with care for their original character and structure.

Can you match my existing gutter or roof profile?

We can. Matching profiles is important on Nundah's older homes, so we source gutters, downpipes and roofing materials that suit your home's era and existing look for a seamless, consistent finish.

Are you able to handle steep or box-gutter roofs?

Absolutely. Many Nundah homes on the suburb's ridge have steep pitches or box gutters. We use correct safety equipment and ensure box gutters have adequate capacity and overflow provisions for heavy storm rainfall.

Is gutter guard worth it on Nundah's tree-lined streets?

Definitely. With mature trees throughout Nundah dropping leaves into gutters, quality gutter guard reduces blockages and cleaning, helping water flow freely through downpipes and stormwater drains during summer storms.

How fast can you repair storm damage in Nundah?

We prioritise storm-damage repairs, as Nundah's summer thunderstorms can bring hail and strong gusts. Contact us promptly and we'll respond quickly to make your roof watertight and prevent further interior damage.

What roof materials do you recommend for Nundah homes?

It depends on your home's style. Terracotta and tin suit many heritage Queenslanders, while modern Colorbond steel offers durability against Nundah's storms. We'll advise on the best option for your roof and budget.
