Pre-Purchase Plumbing Inspections Nundah

Roof & Plumbing Inspections Before Purchase Nundah

TRG Plumbing's licensed and insured plumbers provide detailed pre-purchase roof and plumbing inspections across Nundah, helping buyers uncover costly hidden faults before settlement. Nundah's housing stock is dominated by traditional timber Queenslanders and late-nineteenth-century workers' cottages, alongside occasional interwar masonry homes, where ageing pipes, rusted gutters and tired roofs are common. With Kedron Brook and the Schulz Canal draining the suburb, plus flash flooding risk near low-lying areas like the old Toombul carpark, drainage condition matters enormously. After ex-Cyclone Alfred flooded Nundah homes in 2025, knowing a property's true plumbing and roof health is essential. We inspect, document and explain every issue clearly so you can buy with confidence.

Our Nundah Roof & Plumbing Inspections Before Purchase Services Include:

Comprehensive plumbing system checks:
We assess supply lines, waste pipes and fixtures throughout older Nundah Queenslanders where original plumbing often hides corrosion and leaks.
Roof and gutter inspections:
We check roofing, flashings and guttering for rust and damage, critical given Nundah's hot, stormy summers with hail and strong wind gusts.
CCTV drain camera assessments:
We send cameras through underground drains to reveal blockages and root damage common near the Kedron Brook and Schulz Canal catchments.
Hot water system evaluation:
We inspect the age, condition and safety of hot water units in Nundah homes to flag units nearing the end of their life.
Water pressure testing:
We measure water pressure across the property to detect hidden leaks or restrictions in Nundah's older interwar pipework.

We contacted TRG the night prior and received immediate contact. Their team was on-site within 36 hours and completed a very tricky job of installing a new Water heater in a tight loft space to replace one that was leaking and causing damage. They perform their duties with great professionalism and quality work, on time and to the exact quote they stated. I would use them again and encourage anyone else to use them also. Ian

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had no idea how big the problem was with our drainage. TRG Plumbing were amazing - they offered alternate solutions looking for the least invasive and most cost efficient way to fix the issues.
Josh from TRG was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble - he took the time to explain everything and really cared about our job and the outcome.
Tom and his team go over and above.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We were really impressed with the service and experience we had with TRG. They installed a new hot water heater for us and fixed the drainage of our downpipes to connect to the stormwater at the street. They took care to really understand exactly what we were after with the work and made sure it was as neat and tidy as possible. They worked quickly and efficiently and their price was way more competitive than some of the other quotes we got. Tyrone, who mainly worked on the project, was really easy to deal with and we were very happy with the outcome. Would recommend.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t rate these guys highly enough. Had a plumbing issue for 3years, had 3 different plumbers come out and given wildly different fixes with a huge variant in cost, ranging from 2k to 10k+ & ripping off walls to saying it can’t be done. Tom was immediately confident they could fix it and the team (shoutout Josh & Anthony!) who thought outside the box, found the water cut off for the unit which the other 3 failed to do & fixed the problem promptly without knocking down any walls while keeping price in a very reasonable range. Also organised a plasterer & tiler to work concurrently with them & get the job done super fast. Brilliant all round, would recommend to anyone getting the run around. Never felt talked down to or patronised in any way & they showed up on time! Great communication and fully informed before any tasks started, with price point of differences given for each step. Just top blokes. I won’t use anyone else now. Huge thank you TRG!!

NO MORE PROBLEMS

CALL US ANYTIME, DAY OR NIGHT

Thinking of buying an interwar Queenslander or worker's cottage in Nundah and worried about hidden roof or drain problems?

Why Pre-Purchase Inspections Matter for Older Nundah Homes

Nundah's interwar timber Queenslanders and nineteenth-century workers' cottages carry decades of plumbing history beneath their floors and roofs. Original galvanised pipes, ageing sewer connections and patched-up repairs can fail expensively soon after settlement. Our pre-purchase inspections catch these hidden problems before you commit, giving you negotiating leverage or peace of mind. With Nundah sitting on a prominent ridge and near major waterways, understanding both roof and drainage condition protects your investment.

Drainage and Flood Considerations Across Nundah

Nundah sits within the Kedron Brook catchment, which spans over 110 square kilometres and flooded homes and roads during ex-Cyclone Alfred in 2025. The Schulz Canal and Kedron Brook Floodway divert stormwater toward Moreton Bay, but low-lying pockets remain prone to flash flooding. Before buying, we assess how a property's drains, stormwater connections and yard fall cope with heavy rain, so you understand the real flood and drainage risk.

Roof Health in Nundah's Subtropical Storm Season

Nundah's humid subtropical climate brings hot, rainy summers when thunderstorms break out frequently, sometimes with hail and damaging wind gusts. Older roofs on Nundah Queenslanders and masonry homes often hide cracked tiles, rusted sheeting and failing flashings that only leak under heavy rain. Our roof and gutter inspections identify these vulnerabilities before purchase, helping you budget for repairs and avoid surprise water damage after the first big storm.

Roof & Plumbing Inspections Before Purchase Nundah FAQ

Buying a home in Nundah means navigating older timber Queenslanders, heritage cottages and a suburb with real flood and storm exposure. Here are answers to common questions about our pre-purchase roof and plumbing inspections.

Why should I get a plumbing and roof inspection before buying in Nundah?

Nundah's housing is dominated by interwar Queenslanders and nineteenth-century workers' cottages where ageing pipes, drains and roofs frequently hide costly faults. With the suburb sitting in the Kedron Brook catchment that flooded during ex-Cyclone Alfred, an inspection reveals risks before you commit.

What does a roof inspection include?

We examine roof sheeting or tiles, flashings, valleys and guttering for rust, cracks and damage. Given Nundah's stormy summers with hail and strong wind gusts, we focus on areas most likely to leak under heavy rain.

What does a plumbing inspection cover?

We check supply lines, waste pipes, fixtures, hot water systems and water pressure throughout the property. In older Nundah homes we pay close attention to original galvanised pipework and ageing connections that are prone to corrosion and leaks.

Do you use CCTV cameras to check the drains?

Yes. We run CCTV cameras through underground drains and sewer lines to reveal blockages, cracks and tree root intrusion. This is especially valuable near Nundah's Kedron Brook and Schulz Canal catchments where drainage stress is common.

Will I receive a written report?

Absolutely. After every Nundah inspection we provide a clear written report documenting our findings, photos and recommendations, so you have evidence to support negotiations or plan repairs with confidence.

Can you provide cost estimates for any repairs you find?

Yes. Where we identify problems in your prospective Nundah home, we can outline estimated repair costs so you understand the financial picture before settlement and can budget or negotiate accordingly.
