Roofing & Guttering Hendra

TRG Plumbing's licensed and insured plumbers deliver expert roofing and guttering services across Hendra, an established, leafy inner-north suburb around 7 km north-east of the Brisbane CBD. Hendra's traditional-character Queenslander homes feature aging timber-and-tin and terracotta roofs that often pair with older box gutters and worn flashings. With famously jacaranda and royal poinciana-lined streets, leaf litter regularly clogs gutters and downpipes, while the suburb's flat, low-lying terrain (around 11 metres elevation) and the Schulz Canal drainage corridor mean reliable stormwater flow matters during subtropical storm season. From heritage cottages near the racecourses to contemporary high-end rebuilds, we keep Hendra roofs watertight, well-drained and storm-ready all year round.

Our Hendra Roofing & Guttering Services Include:

Roof leak detection and repairs:
We trace and seal leaks in Hendra's older tin and terracotta roofs before water damages timber-framed Queenslander interiors.
Gutter and downpipe replacement:
We replace rusted or undersized gutters and downpipes coping with heavy leaf fall from Hendra's mature jacarandas and poincianas.
Stormwater connection and repairs:
We ensure roof runoff drains cleanly toward Hendra's flat, low-lying stormwater network and the Schulz Canal corridor.
Roof flashing installation and repairs:
We install and reseal flashings around chimneys, valleys and penetrations on Hendra's heritage and renovated rooflines.
Scheduled roof and gutter maintenance:
We offer regular clean-outs and inspections to keep Hendra homes storm-ready through Brisbane's subtropical summer.

We contacted TRG the night prior and received immediate contact. Their team was on-site within 36 hours and completed a very tricky job of installing a new Water heater in a tight loft space to replace one that was leaking and causing damage. They perform their duties with great professionalism and quality work, on time and to the exact quote they stated. I would use them again and encourage anyone else to use them also. Ian

CALL US ANYTIME, DAY OR NIGHT

Need reliable roofing and guttering work on your heritage Queenslander or modern rebuild in leafy Hendra?

Heritage and Older Roofs in Hendra

Hendra is defined by traditional-character Queenslander homes on wide, tree-lined streets, many with original timber-and-tin or terracotta roofs that have weathered decades of subtropical conditions. These older systems often have brittle fixings, corroded ridges and tired flashings. TRG Plumbing works carefully on heritage rooflines, matching profiles and materials so repairs respect each home's character while restoring full weatherproofing and reliable drainage for the years ahead.

Box Gutters and Steep Roofs in Hendra

Many of Hendra's older homes and large renovated properties feature box gutters and steeper pitches that demand correct falls, sizing and overflow provision. Poorly performing box gutters can back up and leak internally during heavy storms. Our plumbers assess capacity, reseal joints and upgrade box gutters and downpipes so water clears quickly, protecting ceilings, walls and roof cavities across Hendra's mix of period and modern builds.

Leaf-Litter and Storm Exposure in Hendra

Hendra's jacaranda and royal poinciana-lined streets look stunning but shed heavy leaf litter that blocks gutters and downpipes, while the suburb's flat, low-lying terrain leaves little room for backed-up water. Combined with Brisbane's subtropical storm season, this raises overflow and flood risk. We fit quality gutter guard, clear blockages and check stormwater flow so Hendra roofs handle sudden downpours without overflowing.

Roofing & Guttering Hendra FAQ

Common questions from Hendra homeowners about roofing and guttering on heritage Queenslanders, box-gutter homes and modern rebuilds along the suburb's leafy streets.

Do you work on heritage and older roofs in Hendra?

Yes. Many Hendra homes are traditional-character Queenslanders with original timber-and-tin or terracotta roofs. Our licensed plumbers repair these carefully, preserving heritage character while restoring proper weatherproofing and drainage.

Can you match my existing gutter and roof profiles?

We can. Whether your Hendra home is a period Queenslander or a contemporary rebuild, we source gutters, roofing and flashings that match existing profiles and colours so repairs and replacements blend in seamlessly.

Are you able to handle steep or box-gutter roofs?

Absolutely. Plenty of Hendra's older homes and large renovations have steep pitches and box gutters. We assess falls, sizing and overflow provision, then repair or upgrade them so water clears quickly without leaking internally.

Do you recommend gutter guard for Hendra's leafy streets?

For homes near Hendra's jacaranda and poinciana-lined streets, gutter guard is well worth it. It dramatically reduces leaf build-up, lowers blockage and overflow risk, and cuts how often gutters need clearing.

How quickly can you repair storm damage in Hendra?

We prioritise storm-damage callouts across Hendra, especially during Brisbane's subtropical storm season. We respond promptly to leaks, dislodged sheets and overflowing gutters to protect your home from further water damage.

What roof materials do you recommend for Hendra homes?

It depends on the property. Colorbond steel suits modern rebuilds and offers excellent storm performance, while terracotta or matching tin keeps heritage Queenslanders authentic. We'll advise the best option for your Hendra home and its character.
