New Build Plumbing Windsor

TRG Plumbing's licensed and insured plumbers deliver complete new build plumbing across Windsor, an established inner-northern suburb 5.5km north of the Brisbane CBD. Windsor is known for its late-1800s and early-1900s Queenslander timber character homes, so many projects here are knock-down-rebuilds or new homes on typical 600m² blocks, sometimes within heritage and character overlays. With low-lying areas near Enoggera Creek and genuine flood history along Kedron Brook in 2022, we plan drainage and stormwater carefully. From plumbing design through to final certification, we work from your building plans and manage council requirements so your Windsor build runs smoothly.

Our Windsor New Build Plumbing Services Include:

Plumbing design and system planning:
We map efficient water, waste and gas layouts suited to Windsor's hilly blocks and creek-fed low-lying sites.
Water, waste and gas rough-ins:
We install in-slab and in-wall pipework during the build's early stages, coordinated with your Windsor builder's program.
Fixture and appliance installation:
We fit taps, toilets, basins, kitchens and laundries to suit both modern Windsor apartments and rebuilt character homes.
Stormwater and sewer connections:
We connect stormwater and sewer correctly, a priority given Enoggera Creek and Windsor's documented flood risk.
Backflow prevention systems:
We install and register compliant backflow devices to protect Windsor's drinking water supply.
Final testing, commissioning and certification:
We test, commission and certify your Windsor system so it meets all Queensland plumbing standards before handover.

We contacted TRG the night prior and received immediate contact. Their team was on-site within 36 hours and completed a very tricky job of installing a new Water heater in a tight loft space to replace one that was leaking and causing damage. They perform their duties with great professionalism and quality work, on time and to the exact quote they stated. I would use them again and encourage anyone else to use them also. Ian

Planning a knock-down-rebuild or new home in Windsor and need a licensed plumber to handle every stage from rough-in to certification?

Knock-Down-Rebuilds and Heritage Overlays in Windsor

Windsor is one of Brisbane's older suburbs, with grand Queenslanders, renovated workers' cottages and heritage-listed buildings sitting alongside modern apartments. Many new builds here are knock-down-rebuilds on roughly 600m² blocks, occasionally within character or heritage overlays. We tailor plumbing to these constraints, respecting existing site conditions while delivering modern, compliant systems. Our team coordinates with builders and certifiers so your Windsor rebuild meets requirements without compromising the streetscape this established suburb is valued for.

Drainage and Flood-Smart Stormwater in Windsor

Drainage is a genuine concern in Windsor, where low-lying areas sit near Enoggera Creek and Kedron Brook flooded parts of the suburb and The Grange in 2022. We design stormwater systems for new builds with this flood history in mind, ensuring proper falls, connections and overland flow management. Whether your block is on the hilly city-view side or closer to the creek, we plan drainage that copes with Brisbane's subtropical downpours.

Working From Plans and Council Approvals in Windsor

Every Windsor new build starts with accurate plans. We interpret architectural and hydraulic drawings, set out rough-ins precisely, and align our work with your build schedule. We also handle the plumbing and drainage approvals required under Brisbane City Council and Queensland regulations, including inspections at key stages. This keeps your Windsor project compliant and on track from the first trench to final certification and handover.

New Build Plumbing Windsor FAQ

Building a new home or completing a knock-down-rebuild in Windsor? Here are answers to common questions about new build plumbing in this established inner-northern suburb near Enoggera Creek.

Can you plumb a new build within a Windsor heritage or character overlay?

Yes. Windsor has many heritage-listed buildings and Queenslander character homes, and some sites fall within overlays. We tailor our plumbing to suit these conditions and work with your builder and certifier to keep everything compliant.

Do you work directly from building plans?

Absolutely. We read architectural and hydraulic drawings, set out rough-ins precisely, and install pipework to match your plans. This ensures fixtures, drainage and connections all land exactly where your Windsor design intends.

Do you handle council approvals for new builds in Windsor?

Yes. We manage the plumbing and drainage approvals required under Brisbane City Council and Queensland regulations, and we coordinate inspections at key build stages so your Windsor project stays compliant from start to finish.

How do you design plumbing layouts for a new Windsor home?

We plan efficient water, waste and gas routes based on your floor plan, block and site conditions. With Windsor's hilly sections and low-lying areas near Enoggera Creek, we pay particular attention to drainage falls and stormwater management.

What plumbing materials do you use in new builds?

We use quality, Australian-standard materials such as copper and PEX for water lines, PVC for waste and stormwater, and certified gas pipework. Material choices suit each Windsor project, whether a modern apartment or a rebuilt character home.

Can you install energy-efficient plumbing systems?

Yes. We can fit energy-efficient hot water systems, water-saving fixtures and smart layouts that reduce running costs. These are popular with Windsor homeowners building modern, sustainable homes alongside the suburb's older Queenslanders.
