Blocked Drains & CCTV Albion

TRG Plumbing's licensed and insured plumbers clear blocked drains and run CCTV camera inspections right across Albion, an inner north-eastern suburb roughly 5.1km from the Brisbane CBD. Many Albion homes date back to the late-1880s workers' cottages around Ellen Street, and these older properties often still run earthenware or clay sewer pipes that crack and invite tree-root intrusion from the suburb's mature trees. We also know the low-lying ground near Breakfast Creek and the old racecourse flats, which featured in Brisbane's 2011 and 2022 flood records, can strain stormwater drainage. From heritage cottages to modern unit blocks and the cafés along Sandgate and Hudson roads, we locate the blockage accurately and fix it properly the first time.

Our Albion Blocked Drains & CCTV Services Include:

Emergency blocked drain repairs:
Rapid response to overflowing or backed-up drains in Albion homes and Sandgate Road businesses, day or night.
CCTV drain camera inspections:
We send a camera through your pipes to pinpoint root intrusion or collapsed earthenware in older Albion cottages.
High-pressure water jetting:
Powerful jetting cuts through roots, grease and sediment to fully clear stubborn Albion drain lines.
Stormwater drain clearing:
Keeping stormwater flowing freely on Albion's low-lying ground near Breakfast Creek and the old racecourse flats.
Drain & pipe relining:
Trenchless relining repairs cracked clay pipes without tearing up Albion gardens or heritage driveways.
Preventative drain maintenance:
Scheduled checks and clearing to stop tree roots and build-up before they block your Albion drains.

We contacted TRG the night prior and received immediate contact. Their team was on-site within 36 hours and completed a very tricky job of installing a new Water heater in a tight loft space to replace one that was leaking and causing damage. They perform their duties with great professionalism and quality work, on time and to the exact quote they stated. I would use them again and encourage anyone else to use them also. Ian

NO MORE PROBLEMS

CALL US ANYTIME, DAY OR NIGHT

Battling a blocked drain or recurring tree-root problem in Albion's older homes near Breakfast Creek or up Albion Hill?

Tree-Root Intrusion in Albion's Older Sewer Pipes

Albion's late-1880s workers' cottages, particularly around Ellen Street, were often plumbed with earthenware and clay sewer pipes. Over a century later, these joints crack and shift, and the suburb's mature street and garden trees push roots straight into the gaps seeking moisture. Roots are one of the most common causes of recurring blockages we see locally. We jet the line clear, then use CCTV to confirm the cause and recommend a lasting fix rather than a temporary clear.

Stormwater & Low-Lying Drainage Near Breakfast Creek

Breakfast Creek forms Albion's south and south-western border, and the old racecourse flats sit on historically swampy, low-lying ground. Albion appears in Brisbane's flood mapping alongside the 2011 and 2022 events, so well-maintained stormwater drains matter here. We clear blocked stormwater pits, downpipes and gullies so heavy subtropical downpours drain away from your property rather than pooling around the slab or yard.

CCTV Camera Inspections Across Albion

Whether you're up on Albion Hill along Hudson Road or down near the creek, a CCTV inspection takes the guesswork out of drain problems. We feed a waterproof camera through the line to see exactly what's happening inside ageing pipes, locating roots, cracks, collapses or build-up. That footage lets us give Albion homeowners and buyers clear, honest advice before committing to any repair work.

Blocked Drains & CCTV Albion FAQ

Common questions from Albion residents and businesses about blocked drains and CCTV inspections, from heritage cottages near Ellen Street to properties on the low-lying flats by Breakfast Creek.

What are the signs of a blocked drain?

Watch for slow-draining sinks and showers, gurgling toilets, water pooling around floor wastes, and bad odours. In older Albion homes, recurring slow drainage often points to tree roots in cracked clay pipes.

Can you clear a blocked drain in an emergency?

Yes. We offer emergency blocked drain repairs across Albion for overflowing toilets, sewage backups and flooded yards. Call us and we'll get a licensed plumber to your property quickly to stop the damage and restore flow.

What is a CCTV drain inspection?

It's where we feed a small waterproof camera through your drain to see inside the pipe in real time. This lets us pinpoint the exact location and cause of a blockage in your Albion property without digging or guesswork.

Why does CCTV help with old pipes?

Many Albion homes still run earthenware and clay sewer pipes from the late 1800s that crack with age. CCTV reveals root intrusion, fractures and collapses inside these old lines, so we can target repairs accurately rather than replacing more than necessary.

What causes blocked drains in Albion?

Locally, the biggest culprit is tree-root intrusion from mature trees getting into ageing clay pipes. On the low-lying ground near Breakfast Creek, debris and sediment can also clog stormwater drains, especially after heavy subtropical rain.

Can you repair a damaged drain without digging?

Yes. Pipe relining creates a new pipe inside the old one, repairing cracks and root damage without excavation. It's ideal for Albion's heritage cottages and established gardens where we want to avoid disturbing driveways or landscaping.
