Blocked Drains & CCTV Hendra

TRG Plumbing's fully licensed and insured plumbers clear blocked drains and run CCTV camera inspections right across Hendra. With the suburb's leafy, jacaranda- and poinciana-lined streets and its established Queenslander homes, many properties still rely on old earthenware and clay sewer lines that are prime targets for tree-root intrusion. Hendra's flat, low-lying terrain (only around 11 metres elevation) and its drainage toward Schulz Canal and the Kedron Brook corridor mean stormwater can be slow to shift after heavy subtropical downpours. We diagnose blockages accurately, clear them properly and show you exactly what's happening underground, so you get a lasting fix rather than a quick patch.

Our Hendra Blocked Drains & CCTV Services Include:

Emergency blocked drain repairs:
Fast response for overflowing toilets and gurgling drains in Hendra homes, day or night.
CCTV drain camera inspections:
We send a camera down Hendra's ageing clay lines to pinpoint roots, cracks and blockages.
High-pressure water jetting:
Powerful jetting cuts through tree roots and grease common in Hendra's older sewer pipes.
Stormwater drain clearing:
Keeping stormwater drains flowing on Hendra's flat, low-lying blocks near the Schulz Canal corridor.
Drain & pipe relining:
Repair damaged earthenware pipes under Hendra's heritage homes without digging up established gardens.
Preventative drain maintenance:
Scheduled checks to stop recurring root intrusion in Hendra's tree-lined streets before it floods.

We contacted TRG the night prior and received immediate contact. Their team was on-site within 36 hours and completed a very tricky job of installing a new Water heater in a tight loft space to replace one that was leaking and causing damage. They perform their duties with great professionalism and quality work, on time and to the exact quote they stated. I would use them again and encourage anyone else to use them also. Ian

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had no idea how big the problem was with our drainage. TRG Plumbing were amazing - they offered alternate solutions looking for the least invasive and most cost efficient way to fix the issues.
Josh from TRG was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble - he took the time to explain everything and really cared about our job and the outcome.
Tom and his team go over and above.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We were really impressed with the service and experience we had with TRG. They installed a new hot water heater for us and fixed the drainage of our downpipes to connect to the stormwater at the street. They took care to really understand exactly what we were after with the work and made sure it was as neat and tidy as possible. They worked quickly and efficiently and their price was way more competitive than some of the other quotes we got. Tyrone, who mainly worked on the project, was really easy to deal with and we were very happy with the outcome. Would recommend.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t rate these guys highly enough. Had a plumbing issue for 3years, had 3 different plumbers come out and given wildly different fixes with a huge variant in cost, ranging from 2k to 10k+ & ripping off walls to saying it can’t be done. Tom was immediately confident they could fix it and the team (shoutout Josh & Anthony!) who thought outside the box, found the water cut off for the unit which the other 3 failed to do & fixed the problem promptly without knocking down any walls while keeping price in a very reasonable range. Also organised a plasterer & tiler to work concurrently with them & get the job done super fast. Brilliant all round, would recommend to anyone getting the run around. Never felt talked down to or patronised in any way & they showed up on time! Great communication and fully informed before any tasks started, with price point of differences given for each step. Just top blokes. I won’t use anyone else now. Huge thank you TRG!!

Got a blocked drain or suspect tree roots in your old Hendra sewer line that just won't clear?

Tree-Root Intrusion in Hendra's Old Clay Sewer Lines

Hendra's famously leafy streets, lined with mature jacarandas and royal poincianas, are part of the suburb's charm — but those roots actively seek out the moisture inside old earthenware and clay sewer pipes. Tiny joint gaps let hairline roots in, where they grow into dense masses that snag paper and grease. We jet these lines clear, then use CCTV to confirm the pipe condition and recommend relining where the clay has cracked, so the problem doesn't simply return next season.

Stormwater & Low-Lying Drainage in Hendra

Sitting on flat terrain at roughly 11 metres elevation and draining toward Schulz Canal and the Kedron Brook corridor, parts of Hendra can be slow to clear water after heavy subtropical storms. Blocked or root-filled stormwater drains make this worse, leaving water pooling around homes and stables. We clear stormwater lines, gully pits and downpipe connections so your property sheds water quickly, reducing the risk of pooling and overflow during Brisbane's storm season.

CCTV Inspections for Hendra's Heritage & Rebuilt Homes

Hendra's housing mix ranges from traditional timber-and-tin Queenslanders to high-end modern rebuilds, meaning drains can be a patchwork of old clay and newer PVC. A CCTV camera inspection removes the guesswork, showing exactly where a blockage, crack or misaligned joint sits and how deep it runs. It's invaluable before buying a heritage home, planning a renovation, or simply getting to the bottom of recurring blockages without unnecessary excavation.

Blocked Drains & CCTV Hendra FAQ

Common questions from Hendra homeowners about blocked drains, emergency clearing and CCTV camera inspections on both heritage and modern properties.

What are the signs of a blocked drain?

Watch for slow-draining sinks and showers, gurgling toilets, water pooling around drains, and bad smells. In Hendra's older homes, recurring blockages often point to tree roots in the clay sewer line.

Can you clear a blocked drain in an emergency?

Yes. Our licensed plumbers respond quickly to emergency blocked drains across Hendra, including overflowing toilets and sewage backups. We carry jetting and clearing equipment on board to get your drains flowing again fast.

What is a CCTV drain inspection?

We feed a small waterproof camera through your drain to view it live on screen. This lets us locate the exact spot and cause of a blockage in your Hendra property without digging or guesswork.

Why does CCTV help with old pipes?

Many Hendra homes still have ageing earthenware and clay sewer lines prone to cracks and root intrusion. CCTV reveals their internal condition precisely, so we can recommend targeted jetting, relining or repairs rather than replacing more than necessary.

What causes blocked drains in Hendra?

The biggest culprit is tree-root intrusion from Hendra's mature jacarandas and poincianas getting into old clay pipes. Low-lying blocks near the Schulz Canal corridor can also see stormwater drains overwhelmed after heavy subtropical storms.

Can you repair a damaged drain without digging?

Often, yes. Pipe relining creates a new pipe inside the old one, repairing cracks and root damage without excavating Hendra's established gardens or heritage paths. We confirm suitability with a CCTV inspection first.
